Vintage 80s Univega road bike with red accents, and ornate steel lugs that have gold detailing in the paint. This bike is a good starting point for a rider who's excited to invest in bike with vintage craftsmanship and style.
We haven't worked on this bike yet, so it's not as polished up as it will be. It will take at least a week or so for us to get it tuned up for you, but we will do so if you book a test ride appointment for it.
The price is for a tuned up and working bike - we'll replace parts that need replacing while we tune it up, which is all included in the price. Added upgrades/customizations are totally doable, but will add to the final price. You could add things like fenders, a rear rack, or change the bars for a different riding position if you want something more upright, for instance.

Frame
Lugged steel frame Univega road bike, made in Japan, painted black with red details, and gold detailing around the lugs. The paint is in good shape (and the bike will be cleaned/polished up wel before a sale), but does have some scuffs and scratches from normal wear, but no dents or other serious damage.
1 set of bottle cage mounts and eyeletis on the fork and dropouts to mount fenders and/or a rear rack.

Drivetrain
2x6 speed with silver Suntour AR deailleurs
Silver Sugino 2x crankset. If you wanted to swap in smaller chainrings for easier gearing, you could.
Suntour friction downtube shifters.
Headset, stem, handlebars, brakes
Silver SR Sakae quill stem and drop bars, made in Japan, with grery cloth bar tape.
Dia Compe brake levers and caliper rim brakes, all silver.
Missing rubber brake hoods which we may be able to order replace, or replace the brakes themselves for proper cushion/comfort if you want to stick with drop bars.
Wheels/tires
27in wheelset with Araya aluminum rims (made in Japan) and Sansin hubs. Rear wheel has a 6 speed freewheel and chainguard.
Saddle, Seatpost
Original seatpost, silver, paired with a unique black saddle with a bird imprinted on it.
Accessories/upgrades
Red cable housing to match the frame accents, and original safety reflectors on front, rear, and spokes.
Pedals
We'll take pedals off for storage but will include either original, era-appropriate, or basic but aesthetically fitting flat pedals with the bike, depending on what we have available at the time of sale.
