The 1988 MB-5 Trailblazer is an all terrarin bike designed by Bridgestone in their Grant Petersen era. It's a sturdy steel bike that's great for city cruising, gravel and trail riding. It's got plushy tires that can smooth out bumps in the road and take you on trails. It could easily fit fenders if you plan to ride in the rain, and is already set up by Summer with a rack, and front basket for getting around the city carrying whatever you need, or even going bikepacking.
It's pictured with a secondhand set of Ortlieb panniers which are sold separately but we recommend with this bike since they match so well. We envision this bike going on some super fun adventures on and off road!

Good fit for someone about 5'3"-5'5" or so, depending on proportions

Steel frame, with a white paint job. Designed by Bridgestone Japan and made in Taiwan.
Red, blue, and black Bridgestone Trailblazer MB-5 decals, in good shape.
1 bottle cage mount.
Eyelets/braze-ons on frame and fork for mounting fenders, racks and baskets. Frame has clearance for adding fenders or slightly bigger tires.
Drivetrain
3x6 speed with silver Shimano Exage trail derailleurs and Exage Mountain triple crankset with Shimano Biopace chainrings. Shimano SIS thumb shifters.
Great gearing for going up and down Seattle hills.
Headset, stem, handlebars, brakes
Silver headset, white riser quill stem with a cable stop, black handlebars with a slight rise and backsweep.
Black Shimano Exage trail cantilever rim brakes and matching black 4 finger brake levers. Original black rubber grips.
Wheels/tires
26 inch wheelset with silver Araya aluminum rims, Black Joytech hubs, and 26x1.4" Boorrough Sport Blackbelt tires, black, 26x1.75". The tires are used but have life left in them. Schraeder valves.
Saddle, Seatpost
Original seatpost, silver, and black Terrra VB-1 Viscount saddle. Quick release seatpost clamp.
Accessories/upgrades
Rear rack, red bottle cage, and a front basket. Also recently updated with new shifters, cables, housing, and brake pads.
Pedals
We take pedals off for storage but will include basic flat pedals depending on what we have available at the time of sale, or you can customize the bike with nice MKS pedals, for instance.
