Excellent condition 1996 Gary Fisher Made in USA chromoly steel all-arounder bike - great city bike that can also take you on light trails and touring.
It's got the original hybrid tires on it right now which are actually still in good shape. It could easily fit fenders if you plan to ride in the rain, and you can load it up with a rear rack and bags for commuting, touring or bikepacking - it's a versatile bike!
We haven't worked on it yet, so it's not as polished up as it will be, but it was kept in great shape and barely ridden by the previous owner. It will take a week or so for us to prep it for a test ride for you if you book an appointment to come check it out, and we'll wait until we have a buyer to make significant changes/customizations/upgrades to make sure we are doing the work to the next rider's specifications.
The price is for a tuned up and working bike - we'll replace parts that need replacing while we tune it up, which is all included in the price. Added upgrades/customizations are totally doable, but will add to the final price. You could change the stem and handlebars to fine tune it for your body size/proportions, and add things like fenders, a rear rack, etc.

Good fit for someone about 5'2"-5'5" or so, depending on proportions
Stamped as a 38cm/15” frame but by our measurements it is 39.5 cm frame (center of bottom bracket to center of top tube)
53 cm reach (effective top tube length, adjusted for angle)
72 cm standover height (we recommend about 1-2" of standover clearance for a comfortable fit)
Frame
Chromoly steel frame, Designed in California by Gary Fisher and made in the USA. Dark red/maroon/burgundy paint job in excellent shape, with champagne gold accents.
2 bottle cage mounts.
Eyelets/braze-ons on frame and fork for mounting fenders and/or a rear rack. Plenty of tire clearance for bigger tires, or fenders.
Drivetrain
3x7 speed Shimano drivetrain - Shimano Alivio triple crankset and rear derailleur, and Shimano Acera X front derailleur.
Currently paired with original Gripshift 3x7 shifters, in great shape.
Great gearing for going up and down Seattle hills.
Headset, stem, handlebars, brakes
Silver Passage headset, silver Girvin Flexstem suspension quill stem with a cable stop, black riser bars. Silver Shimano Acera X cantilever rim brakes and matching brake levers.
Wheels/tires
700c wheelset with silver Weinmann 519 made in USA aluminum rim brake rims, silver Shimano Acera X hubs, and 700x35c Kenda Nylon hybrid tires with tan sidewall. Presta valves. The tires are original, so they are as old as the bike, but are still in good shape - almost no wear and no visible dryness/cracking.
Saddle, Seatpost
Original seatpost, silver, and cushioned black TricoSports saddle. Silver quick release seatpost clamp.
Accessories/upgrades
Kickstand, black bottle cage, and the original reflectors.
Pedals
We take pedals off for storage but will include basic flat pedals depending on what we have available at the time of sale.
